Can be mid-late Spring (March-April), when it's not very cold any more, but not hot yet. Flowers, and local traditions festivals ... if you like to discover culture.
Or you can go in mid-late Autunm (Fall - about September-October), when it's not very hot, not yet cold and almost finishes rainny season. This is harvest season, you'll enjoy different kinds of exotic tropical fruits while spending little money. If you are really like tropical fruits, you should go even a month earlier (July-August), but it will be at the midle of rain and storm season. |

It depends on what you want to enjoy in Hanoi. As for me, the autumn is the best time in Hanoi with wonderful weather, cool and just a little sunny. Spring is OK for travelling but sometimes it is rainy and humid. Summer and winter are the worst time to go to Hanoi, especially summer because it's very hot and also humid. In reality, summer becomes longer and winter is getting shorter. Autumn is from Oct to late Nov. Sometimes there are some changes (such as it's getting a little colder) but normally the temparature is about 20 to 30 C degree. If you want to go here in spring, the time before the Tet's holiday is the best time. Because the streets and Hanoi are full of flowers with different colours and many things else. |
