I will be going to Ho chi minh on the 24 July, what kind of things i can buy from there?

there is so many copy clothing available at such cheap prices, i bought addidas jackets for $10us each, sports shoes levis brand $24us, levi jeans $7us pair, polos $6, sweaters, $10-$14us and many more items, take old clothes, buy new ones then dump old ones to make room in your luggage so you suit case is full or your great cheap purchases. i go there regularly and buy my clothes, so i always dress well with new items, the quality i find is very good on most items, also you need to bargain

As Kim H pointed out, you can buy anything in Saigon. Since your interest seems to be clothing, if it is your first trip there, you will go to Cho Ben Thanh and pay to much for "knock-offs". But how can they be knock-offs when the same factory contracts to make clothes for all the same designers?
If you want truly eloquent clothes, bring a Vogue or GQ magazine ,or even a DVD and take a walk down Bu Dien street in the back packer area of distict one. Try Sy Tan's shop, he does excellent work.
I'm to old to be a "clothes horse", but there is nothing better than wearing hand made, tailored clothing.
I'm easy to recognize in Saigon when the wife and I are out on the town. She's beautiful and I'm wearing a Mr. Rick "Casablanca" dinner jacket. As they say,,,

Ho Chi Minh is, in my opinion, the BEST place in vietnam to go shopping. especially for the price. I highly recommend buying from the vendors though. DO NOT go to the malls. I can promise you that it will be more expensive than it is here.
The street vendors have a variety of different stuff. I bought nike and adidas tennis clothing there for a super cheap price. They also have fantastic bags and purses.
If you are going to be staying near Cho Ben Thanh that is the best place to go. It is probably the most famous market in vietnam. You can't miss it. They have great prices and really good stuff

Yes you can find all sportswear at HoanChanCongChua street, HoChiMinh city, Dist.1, Vietnam. They have all kinds of things that you might interesting on. They are cheap, but I think they are fake. Have fun on your trip.

You should buy anything you want from there its cheap. Example: shirt 15000VND -> 50000VND or cheaper. You could eat some food in HCM, or you should buy jewelry from pnj company they had handmade just 20,000VND to 100,000VND or more kind, About Sportwear like Adidas or Nike I think they dont have around there, but you should go to Diamond Plaza or KMart, BigMart to buy it, may be they have in there, just 80,000-> 200,000VND of each Or you could buy any shirt just 5000VND to 20000VND. And you could buy whatever you want! But careful about food, dont eat the food they sell on street just buy food from the supermarket, careful with chicken, pig because they had sickness on these animal could make you sickness. Yeah they sell Adidas and Nike clothing and bags but its not guarentteeed that they are authentic. Most likely not. They usually just slap the logo on and call it a day. Buy DVDS theyre cheap and fun. =)
