A very good and curent map of Ho Chi Minh City is to sue Google Earth (sorry Yahoo people). http://earth.google.com
If you're looking for street maps and such, then your best bet is to find a travel agency in HCMC to give you the latest one. There are 400 year old streets taht are still not on the maps. There is also a lot of development that is hard to keep up on.
