I would like to join my husband on a trip to Vietnam. Is it safe for a woman walking alone.?

Is there a health issue? we will be travelling in June. Which is considered a very good hotel? (5 star plus)? Does anybody know?

Where would you be travelling? Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi have good 5-star hotels. Generally it is safe for a woman to walk alone in either city, but exercise common sense like not walking alone after 11pm on the streets. Health-wise, it's just the common pre-caution like not eating along side-streets if your tummy is weak, drink bottled water etc. Hope this helps ;)

Hi i am also going in June with my husband ( 17th ) and we are staying in hoi an in 3* trails hotel .We are going to Cambodia for 3nts first ,it will be our first trip to both places ,but we have been to Thailand 7 times so we kind of know what,s what
If you don't do anything silly you should be fine ,as for health make sure you are up to date with vaccinations check with your doctor

Never really been to Vietnam, but this is what I found:

Advise - exercise caution and monitor developments that might affect your safety in Vietnam because of the risk of criminal activity.

Pay close attention to your personal security and monitor the media for information about possible new safety and security risks.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed human deaths from avian influenza in Vietnam.

Penalties for drug offences are severe and include the death sentence. Vietnamese authorities have announced increased security measures to combat drug trafficking.

But there's nothing safe so go if you want to :)

Last time I went to Vietnam I had to carry a loaded M-16 the entire time I was there. :-)

was craccin cuz
Vietnam is a very dangerous place, car crash every second. Its a good idea to have someone with you. Dont wear to much fancy stuff with purses and jewlury because *weird things* may happen. Trust me & the police won't do anything if you get robbed. Just dont be to flashy
