If I have vietnamese passport, do I need visa to travel back to VIETNAM?
My friend told me that I don't need visa. I called the embassy but they didn't answer so clearly, it's like they want me to get one, and said that I don't really need one. I couldn't talk to them. So, I really need to know if the security at the airport or at the checking point to the plane, will they ask for a visa, even if I have my vietnamese passport?

since ur its citizen.. u don't need visa. visa is only for foreigners with passports of another nation .. (ex. US passport going to vietnam needs a visa)

If you are vietnamese citizen, you don't need any visa in order to go back to vietnam because visa is like a pass for foreigners. I'm sure you don't need visa unless you have other citizen than vietnamese. However, you don't need any visa to go back to vietnam even you have other citizen if you are living in usa. Have you become a US citizen? It might make a difference. Normally, if you have a passport you do not need a visa. Go to the Embassy and check to make sure. You need to know how you will get back into the US. Google 'vietnam visa' for instructions.
