Well, you might want to consider a trustworthy gal too! Many of the interpreters in VN are women, but there are guys too.
You could always do something rash, like contact one of the universities and ask their assistance in locating an interpreter.
If you are feeling brave, I can get you the e-mail for people in two English clubs in Hanoi (assuming that is where you are going) that I used to participate in. There are numerous people, mostly university students, who have pretty good English, and they would love a chance to use their English to work with a foreigner, and get paid for it as well.

Vietnamese American Club (Hoi Viet My) in Saigon can recommend some one for you. You can interview a couple to find a trustworthy one. You also might try to find one, who can drive and have a car for rent. Some regular drivers do speak English but not well enough to translate for you in a business setting. |
