Does anyone know how much a 30 day tourist visa for Vietnam costs? I know there is an £8 postage fee, but the UK Viet embassy website has no info on visa fees. When phoning them the answering ...
Travelling to Vietnam in April and spending about a week in DaNang. I Want to go on a trip to Hoi An, but I'm wondering whether Hue is worth going the trip?
Yes definitely Hue has retained all its old beauty and remains a peacefull retreat from Saigon & Danang . It is beautiful especially when you consider the place was leveled during the Tet Offensive of 1968 . Plenty to see and lots of History .

yes it sure is and it is a short trip from hoi an /da nang... i'd take the train, the bus is more scenic but you should take Dramamine if you go by car.. its quite a winding road though beautifully... once in way there are real nice restaurants and bars, many sites to see in and around the city.. take a dragon boat ride, take a moto bike out to the countryside, window shop the many antique store [ careful about how and what you buy] and stay at one of many cheap or high class hotels.. hue is a must , 2-4 days should do you...

OF course it is! Hue is one of the ancient capital of Vietnam. It's historic and beautiful city./;
l It has gentle Huong river which is considered young girl's hair. Besides, Thien Mu pagoda is also an attraction. Royal music .
is the typical of Hue that no other country has. You can check more information at http://www.vietnam-beauty.com/cities/hue/29-hue/42-hue-an-ancient-citadel-of-vietnam.html

Yes, definitely. A couple of days .....one to see the Citadel and the city, and another to see some of the shrines etc. Take a dragon boat down the Perfume river and stop off at different places .That is well worth while. Hoi An is also not to be missed. You can walk around, and it is just a gorgeous old town. It is only a 3 hour trip by car from Hue. I don't know but I I only saw Da nang as we drove through. I know the beaches are supposed to be nice,but it is not the most beautiful Vietnamese city. Time in Hue and Hoi An would be nicer I would think.
