Is it too hot and humid to enjoy Nha Trang Jun-Aug? |
I am interested in taking my family (little kids) to Nha Trang during the summer, but have been discouraged by many Vietnamese who have travelled to Vietnam during the summer. I understand it is hotter in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, but I thought Central Vietnam was different. Were they just unlucky or is it always hot and humid in Nha Trang during the summer. |

i am a grandad and live here,as much as i love Nha trang its to hot for little kids,and of course the problem is its hot and humid24/7.The only place you can keep them cool is by the waters edge but then the sun is very fierce.ong jon is right about the Vietnamese,last week i was in shorts and t-shirt and my viet friends where wearing woolly jumpers and gloves saying it was winter[22%centigrade] very strange,It is possible of course to come with kids and have a good holiday,you will just have to work at it,with my grandson he is allowed to stay up later and has a good sleep during the day,there is an area set aside for 2 to 7 year olds by the beach and its full from 6 to 9 pm.I played with my grand son on the beach from 6 till 8 am,home for breaky little play in the house and then he slept,like i say you have to work at it, |

1st off dont go by what vietnamese say about the weather.. they hate it even mildly waem or slightly cool.. and its always too sunny lol.. thats why they only go to the beach in the early morn or late afternoon... HOWEVER , though nha trang is a bit cooler and has the beach.. last may/ june i was in da nang , right on china beach and all i wanted to do was watch tv in my air conditioned room..eccept for early morn or late afternoon much too uncomfortable to go to the beach or pool..out on the streets was unbearable.. i was sweating while sitting at a cafe by a fountain, drinking iced soda..... 104 degrees farenhight !!!..and humid...august is a little more realistic...

The best time to go and enjoy Nha trang is now, from October, The hot season in Vietnam is on when the dry season in in cairns Australia and the best time of the year is when Cairns got the wet eason, the opposite way O/K? |
