I have visited several hospitals in various parts of Viet Nam, sometimes to see friends who were hospitalized, sometimes as part of my work at the time. I hope I am never unlucky enough to have to go to a Vietnamese hospital for care.
I doubt very much that there is much comparison between Viet Nam and Canada when it comes to health care. Viet Nam is still pretty basic, compared to developed countries that have the funds to support high quality health care. Some good treatment is available in VN, but the systems are not all up to standard.
I have seen hospital facilities that are far worse than Viet Nam's.

Not 100% true. Poor people get treatment free, but you have to qualify for it. Most of people have to pay hospital fees now.
