Nha Trang is nothing like Phuket or Koh Samui , having said that i prefer it to Thailand altogether . If its the girlie bars you are looking for Nha Trang is not the place (Vung Tau is the place) there are still beautiful women about and what you seek you will find . The nightlife is great and there is always plenty to do , and you would need to be pretty ugly to go home alone . I have spent a lot of time in SE asia and Vietnam is my prefered destination you will not be disappointed |

HI ok i,v been to all 3 places , and i would say nha trang is the quieter of the 3 and the cheapest ,as for night life i am not sure as we are to old to go clubbing , but there is clubs and loud bars , as for girls they are not in your face like thailand , you would have to ask the locals where to go for girls
We went in sept and it was very quiet , plenty of happy hours and free vodka with your meal
You will need a visa , you can send your passport to london and get it , will cost @ £42 p/person, and you need at least 6 months left on it from the date you leave vietnam , i got pulled up cause i only had 4 months left
There is a CAFE BUS (bus with beds) that travels from one end of country to other stopping at all major city,s ,it,s megs cheap compared to flying
Beware of motor bike taxis trying to rip you off and take you to brothels |

nha trang is does not have an international airport so i dont think you can fly directly in from bangkok.. anyway nha trang in a family friendly tourist town.. not much prostitution or local girls shaking it around.. there are plenty of western women passing through all the time.. prices in nha trang are probably cheaper than bangkok... |

I wouldn't recommend it- the beaches are dirty and we spent ages wandering around trying to find something to do - unsuccessfully. |
