Does anyone know how much a 30 day tourist visa for Vietnam costs? I know there is an £8 postage fee, but the UK Viet embassy website has no info on visa fees. When phoning them the answering ...
Now that I have had my Bún riêu breakfast in Vietnam?
what would you offer me for lunch ? :D
Typically Vietnamese and thank you for the descriptions and explanations.. Additional Details My previous question was about a traditional Vietnamese breakfast by the way.
If you stop by tomorrow, you can attend my daughter's "naming party". She's 30 days old and we are having a party to give her her name.
We're having 60 or so family/friends over for a 7 course meal. Crab soup, roast duck, pork, shrimp etc, etc....a dozen different vegetables...Dessert will be Banh Kem and home made mango ice-cream.
I'm sorry I can't give you the names of the dishes but my wife has been dealing with the caterer. I know the soup will be Sup Cua and the shrimp and fish (com tam and com ca) are cooked at the tables in a large, electric soup bowl kind of thing. The cake is from the bakery and I made the ice-cream myself with an ice-cream maker I brought from America. The recipe is from the web and I substituted sweetened, condensed milk for cream since cream is very difficult to find over here.

I don't know much about Vietnamese foods although I have a Vietnamese co workers, but I am familiar that Asian foods (including mine) are almost similar to others. Rice, noodles, fresh vegetables, etc. What makes the foods taste better that most people doesn't know is the fish sauce (luk mam?, I don't know if I spelled it right) but it does make the taste different compared to the food seasoning that we used here in America.
