yes all over and in every price range. if you are a first time tourist with no particulare agenda i'd say go to district 1, the "back packer" area around "de tham" & "pham ngu lau" streets... if the mini hotels there are a bit "grungy" for your taste you can walk a cpl of blocks to the metroplitan[ tran hung dao &nguyen cu chin streets] you casn gat a sweet suite there for under $100 and they even have a pool. and of course rght in that area is the new world hotel where our presidents have stayed...i recommend "the oriental [ dong phuong]" on the corner of "de tham" rooms are small but clean and safe.

mogambo hotel in ho chi minh is where i stayed when i visited the country. there is a restaurant in the bottom that serves western food and a lot of westerners stay there. the rooms were quite large and although there wasnt an elevator, they had people to carry your bags up and down the stairs.

Just go to Bui Vien street in District one, you will find many hotels with reasonable price but good quality. A good room with IDD phone, Air-con, hot shower, twn share, digital television cost you about $8/nite. Many hotels in this district have free Wifi too
