There would not be a choise for me,i would prefer to die rather than retire in Saigon,the few times i have visited i hated it,the pollution the noise the squalor its not for me.Hanoi,i have been twice and it was ok,at least you could breathe,and of course its much more what you would consider Vietnam to be. |

I was born in SAIGON so i would choose SAIGON over hanoi for sure,HANOI is old,dirty and small town more than a city thought.SAIGON is a business center,economic and entertainent,once call pearl of oriental or paris of asia heh,

One more vote for Saigon. My origin was in the North but I love the life here. I've heard all the bars and massage places in Hanoi are about sex and drugs so finally most of them were closed.
Look at what we have here...Saigon nightlife...there is just so much fun. The people here are also so much better, more open-minded, more relaxed and friendly. |
