I'm traveling to Vietnam soon and will be staying for 3 months.
I'm going to need to bring 2 laptops with me to do some school work over the summer.

Yes, I think there will be some problem. The law in Vietnam only let one person bring one technology, in your case would be laptop into the country. It depend if you are traveling alone. If there were another person everything will be find. What I would do if I travel by myself is that I would put both of the laptop together in a box, so when the machine scan, only one will show.

You won't have any problems going through security at the airport as long as you keepm them handy, so that you can prove that the machines actually turn on.
Be aware that you will not be able to use either computer during take-off, landing, and during periods of turbulence in mid-flight because your computers might interfere with the airplane's navigation system. Another thing to consider is whether you can actually use them in Vietnam because their voltage is probably different from that used in North America.
