Does anyone know how much a 30 day tourist visa for Vietnam costs? I know there is an £8 postage fee, but the UK Viet embassy website has no info on visa fees. When phoning them the answering ...
I am in Vietnam, and will be here through Tet. I am trying to determine what will be closed, and for how long. Web sites have not been very helpful. Does anyone know if museums, cultural sites, ect. will be open that week?
Would be a good idea if you are in Tet holiday and the days before Tet. As usual, in Ho Chi Minh City, there will be lots of festivals and flower streets from the 27/12 till 3/1 of the lunar calendar ( which will be on Jan 22 till Jan 28 this year.) I'm not sure about museums or culture sites, but I guess they will be close not more than the first three days of the year. ( which is on Jan 26-Jan 28)

i THINK YOU SHOULD GO TO Nha Trang .It's more peaceful than Saigon.
Beside, in there you can find hotel with the lowest prices and Tet celebration is big as Saigon.

Sorry to sound a bit negative but if you have not already got your ticket you wont be traveling anywhere during Tet.Cultural sights will be open, not sure about the museum.

I was in Hanoi last year during Tet. Many stores and restaurants were closed. There were also less taxis in the streets. I remember the hotel I was staying in asked me to transfer because they were closing for Tet.
