vietnam government treat fairly = to visitors but poorly to citizen--if u need more info -dont search bcuz all they can do is lie to puplic.
The ppl are very nice ,friendly, and all the good stuffs.
visitors are very safe there they have sumkind of VIP stuff 4 visitors. But bcareful on the price --they may b seem cheap but those ppl are charging u mab tripple the money they usually sell 4
men and women are treated very fairly in the cities. But if u comheir e to the little villages the mens treat the women like they r worth nothing but a a maid and a person 4 they to hit at--oh did i mention that mens have the right to hit, pound, stump, women .They seems to have alot of control over thier family.if u want more info just go to wikipedia and tyoe in VietNam |

Men and women are treated equally, but regular people aren't treated as equally as communist people. Vietnamese government is a communist government; therefore, there are a lot of thing that Vietnamese people should not talk about. The visitors are safe as long as they don't do any thing agaisnt the government. I am a Vietnamese, and I say what is happenning in Vietnam. |

Are the people safe and treated fairly?......Sure! That is as long as you're willing to go along with the ridiculous and idiotic whims of an oligarchy that sees no problem with getting rich off of the backs of the rest of the struggling population. And if you aren't willing...well, you'll just magically disappear one night to reappear in a prison cell where you're going to spend the next ten years of your life without due process. Either that or you'll be taken care of in a little "accident" with a truck that just happened to run over you because you were in its' blind spot. All the information you see out there about Vietnam, past and present, is going to be skewed so choose wisely and as always, take it with a grain of salt! |

I just returned "home" after living in VN for 4 years - traveling from Ha Noi down to the south on a regular basis.
The government is like any government.
Are the people safe? Yes (although it is unclear what you mean).
Visitors are very safe - it is one of the safest places I have ever been, and I have been to over 40 countries.
Men and women are officially treated equally, but when my mother visited a woman guide at a cultural site told her that women didn't have the same opportunities as men. VN women have much better conditions than most places I have been, but there is still room for improvement - just as in the US or Europe. |
