North Vietnam you go to Northeast to cool mountain areas for hiking, trekking, biking and photographing, my favorite Ha Giang. Bac Ha Northwest is amazing. I have lots of pics. How can I send you.

its all good, however it is much easyier to travel up and down the coast. i guess i've been almost all around viet nam.. i preffer the countryside but i'ts difficult to get around "off the tourist trail" esspecially if its your first time there. the me kong is nice but i feel its best seen on a tour out of sai gon.. sapa in the far north is great and much diffrent than the coastal areas. to get there just take a train from ha noi.

Yes I have been all around Vietnam, of course...South Central Coast is most beautiful (Khanh Hoa-Nha Trang beach). I've been there twice. Considered nicest beach in Vietnam with the famous Vinpearl resort.
But I live in the South (Saigon) so I usually spend my holidays in Southeast: Vung Tau beach (Ba Ria-Vung Tau) and Mui Ne beach (this one with lots of nice resorts and ppl mostly come here surfing) .
If you like cool weather with a romantic atmosphere try Da Lat ( Lam Dong in central highlands).
Those I listed are best places for tourists. Good luck!
