Vietnam shopping area for american brandname clothing? |
I'm currently in TPHCM Quan 11 and i want to know where i can get cheap brandname clothing such as holister, abercrombie, lacoste since in america they labeled "made in vietnam" on their clothes so i figured, hey, since i'm here, might as well buy them. I've heard around that it goes as cheap as $2, but still havne't found a place that sells them.

yesterday i actually went to ben thanh and i found 6 shops that sells abercrombie, but unfortunately, they're mimics and it goes from 180000 vnd. My sister got lucky and got a REAL abercrombie sweater for 130000 vnd and she forgot where she got it at.... |

You could try going to this store called Made In Vietnam or try the outdoor markets-- there is one called Saigon Square and it sells lots of American brand stuff... I remember when I went there 4 years ago that they sold lots of abercrombie, american eagle, guess, etc... really cheap. (ex: i used to like limited too.. and i bought a sweater there for $8 when in america it was $40..) |

ummmm you can find clothing that has those labels in most clothing stores in the city.... the important thing is whether or not they are real. I think i saw a store that sells real Lacoste somewhere in Quan 1. Its a big giant building that sells things "duty-free". Try asking around for the "duty free" store. |

dude we're long lost siblings ! i've been in TPHCM quan 11 for 3 days and i'm looking for the EXACT same clothing you are. i've been glancing at every store i pass, but i've yet to go shopping. i talked to a girl wearing a hollister polo and she told me the store is somewhere with the letters 3A ? or A3 ? i'm not sure but i think it's the # of the store that's lined down the street. i'll get in contact with you wheni find out. (: it's nice to know i'm not alone on my search. |

your not likely to get anything but a cpl of "t" shirts for $2.. even if you can bargin well. you can get real nice shirts for $5-$7us and pants for $10 even if you dont bargan well at one of the large markets ; "benh than" in Q1 would be my suggestion. |
