poor poor "Lyn" she couldn't be more wrong. even within the passed ten years nha trangs beauty has been taken over by hotels, souvenir shops and beach chairs... what they have done with hon tre island, hon chom peninsula and the ancient cham temple , "po ngar" is particularly shameful. nha tang ONCE was one of the most beautiful places i ever saw .. it was more serene and peacefull during the war... shame on the rape that has take place in the name of greed and "progress" as for vung tau, i was ther 10 years ago and except for "buissness " i dont go back .. that should tell you something. |

Both are great.
I prefer Vung Tau because that's usually where we go. (Nha Trang is a long trip from our house).
I have friends in both towns. E-mail me if you like. If you are a good person, you'll like my friends. |

VÅ©ng TÃ u is nearer to Sai Gon than Nha Trang. It takes only 2 hours or more to travel to Vung Tau, while Nha Trang, >5 hours. Thus Saigoners prefer to go to Vung Tau at weekends, while they go to Nha Trang for longer trips. |

It depends on how long you can stay in Vietnam.
Nha Trang is better and at 450Km from Saigon. You can get there by plane, by train or by bus. Don't go by bus as it takes long time. You can take a night train to get there to save your time and the accommodation budget.

Beach is nice, water is cleaner than Vung Tau. Have got the island for a boat trip. Fun dive.... |

From my experience, it's Nha Trang! Because in Nha Trang, the scenery hasn't been affected much by the tourists, so the beaches and the sea are "natural"! If you have the opportunity to visit both places, you'll realize that Nha Trang is much more beautiful than Vung Tau, especially the sea. In Nha Trang, the water is much cleaner and clearer, and it has the blue color just like the saphire, very beautiful; together with the long area of soft, white sand. You can sunbathe and swim there a whole day without being interupted. Seeing is believing, you should visit it! |
