Come visit me and the family in Ben Tre. It's about as far off the path as an American can get lol. My Father-in-law is former VC, My wife is stubborn as a mule, my Mother-in-law loves me.
I don't know how I ever ended up here, but I'm the happiest I've ever been.
BTW: I hear the Mekong River tours are a lot of fun. Come help me collect coconuts lol.
Seriously, Get to know some Viets before you come. The country is beautiful but the people are better !
As far as getting there,,, I'd recomend flying. |

Here are some you can consider: Lai Chau, Ninh Binh, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quy Nhon, Can Tho, Mekong Delta, Con Dao, Ca Mau, etc.

It's in "Vietnam - Country & People" now.
Go to the left bottom, to "Administrative Unit", choose any provinces which are not popular. There are things to see.
The best of Vietnam are the people in less famous cities / towns / villages. |
