I live in Nha Trang, foreigners would eat same times as they did at home, but the Vietnamese eat much earlier, Brek 7am Lunch 11am Dinner 5pm.

My friend's 10 year old daughter gets up at 6:30AM and probably eats around 7 or 7:15 on her way to school.

Lunch times are noonish.

When invited to friends for dinner, it was usually 7ish +-.

When I was traveling, the street stalls were selling soup for breakfast from 6AM but no doubt there were others open much earlier for the early morning clientele. If I went to a restaurant (in smaller towns) 8PMish, I was usually the only person eating - and often the only customer.

Ha, good question as it can be "dangerous" to agree to breakfast "date" - could be around 5.00 a.m.!
I always have the ffeeling Vietnamese people still live more with the daylight-getting up at 4.00 to 4.30, breakfast is around 5.00, lunhc starts at 10.00 and dinner is 5.00-6.30 p.m.
But if you´re not out in the country side, you´ll get something to eat also at "Westeners schedule".

Breakfast: Depends on your daily schedule. For example, the working time starts at 8h30AM and it takes 30 minutes to go to work then the time for breakfast is around 7h30AM. But for sure, it's not necessary to be exactly like that. Some people wake up soon to play sports in the morning so they may eat sooner.

Lunch: Around 12h00PM -> 12h30PM. Some people stay longer to drink beer, chat ... until 1h00 PM (or even later a little bit before go back to work ^_^)

Dinner: Depends on each family.
