Nha Trang, Vietnam.
Thailand is a great vacation spot - no doubt, but you asked about beaches.
The water around Pattaya is polluted.
Phuket is very nice (I have a house there), but Nha Trang and Da nang are hard to beat. |

I HAVE TRAVELLED TO BOTH COUNTRIES AND MOST DEFINATELY THAILAND BEACHES ARE BETTER AND THERE ARE SO MANY MORE TO CHOOSE FROM THAN VIETNAM |

Thailand has cleaner and more beautiful beaches but they are much more crowded. Nha Trang, Hoi An and a host of other beaches in Vietnam are wonderful but not quite up to the same standards as Thailand. I live in Hoi An and love the beach here. i still run into Thailand occasionally for some r and r and some quality beach time. The water seems clearer and cleaner and you can still choose to find a beach away from the madding crowd. Thailand, definitely! |

Yes, the beaches in Thailand are beautiful, but they're crowded with tourists also wanting to escape to a paradise. I'm guessing that the beaches in Vietnam are possibly less crowded, so when you have a beautiful beach, there's not that too many others to share the joy with. |
