What crafts are worth buying from Hanoi?
Is it very expensive to ship furnitures from Hanoi to Singapore?
Sorry I can't help you with the crafts thing, but i've shipped many things to America from Saigon. The cost of shipping from Saigon to Boston, Massachusetts, USA ranges from $90 to $110 usd per cubic meter. I imagine Singapore will be much cheaper. This is an FOB price, which means the seller will crate it and deliver it aboard ship. You will have to pay port and transportation charges at the destination. (Customs inspection, transport from bonded warehouse to your home).
Weight does not seem to matter. I've shipped some very large statues in the past (well over a ton)
Make sure you insure any breakables.

Embroidery things are most recommended in Hanoi and colourful hill tribe clothings around Bac Ha and Sapa. The handicrafts which are sold on the way from Hanoi to Halong are good but be aware of price.

Any bulky items like furniture are expensive to ship, whether by sea or air. If you have to ask, you probably cannot afford it. People not longer get a display case to show off their souvenirs. Buy something really small, such as a bell, ring or key chain.
