In the USA you deal with more people of white ethnicity than any other, so you build up the ability to differentiate between the little differences in Caucasian faces. Then when its time to compare Caucasian girl with Vietnamese girl, its simple. Finally you look at a Chinese girl and a Vietnamese girl, and you look for the differences that are common in Caucasians, and they ain't the same. so you have no skill at determining the difference and they are going to look very similar to you.

And to go along with my point on your secondary question: Asian Girls ROCK!(but Vietnamese cooking's definitively better than the rest)

I thought they were more prettier and helpful than anywhere else.
So friendly and not always after your dollar.

well from what I gathered,people from other ethnicities like white, African Americans, or Mexican Americans generally can not differentiate Vietnamese from Chinese, or Jabs, or Koreans. Only the people from those country can recognize their people. But that sometime is not a sure deal though, see I'm a Vietnamese but I was once told by my Vietnamese best friend that when she first saw me she thought I was a Chinese.

ok to answer your question; because to a western "eye" not familiare to seeing many asians... they [asians] do look alike. once someone becomes more familiare with diffrent asian "faces" one then comes to see th obvious diffrences. although some viets may look a little like chinese , korean or japanese, most vietnamese dont look anything like those other races but it takes a "trained eye"... i often wonder if all westerners look alike to asians.... i can tell an italian from a spaniard, from a greek, from an englishman in a instant [ most of the time] can you?? not only do westerners think asianis look similar , they think they speak the same way too. BUT ive heard viet namese immitateing chinese language the same way a westerner does. "ching chong, chong chang" i laughted out loud, and said, "how do you think you sound????" too see subtel diffrences in others you must become aware of the diffrences. i play base ball for many years and i can see what i think are obvious diffrences in players swings , where as you an austrailian may think all players swing alike. i am a roofer and rideing down the road in my truck i can look up at a roof and see the technique used putting it on... you may inspect the same roof all day and not see the subtle diffrences.... it comes with familiarity i can tell a korean from a vietnamese[ most times ] from a block away.. oh yeh "viet chicks" are ok, better than "viet ducks" ai an viet loan khong? ong cam on "azngurl" sau "chau" doi 2 lan truoc gium toi???lol
