1. Vietnam is in southeast asia. It's right next to Laos and Cambodia, and it's in the ...northern hemisphere, I think.

2. Ho yeah...France, China...they were overrun for a long time.

3. The Northern Vietnamese, the Communist side. Those that weren't communist and living in the North quickly traveled south. The US came in to try and put a halt to communism, but the death toll got to be too much for the US. Not to mention that half the country was against it (all of those protests we see pictures of today..birth of hippies)

4. Hmm...maybe a few. I don't think that the US went into Vietnam thinking only to help the Southern Vietnamese out, I'm sure we thought there was some way we could profit from it. And that's definitely the case today, with the war in Iraq. As far as the public, yeah, there's definitely protest among many of the US citizens, but it doesn't compare to that of the 60s. I don't think a lot of people fully understand why we're in Iraq, especially since Bush had placed the real reasoning under the guise of "a war against terrorism."

3- Who won the Vietnam War? North Vietnam (Communist party), after they captured Saigon.

4- Do you see any parallels between the Vietnam war and the current war in Iraq? Yes, both had unnecessary invasions.
Iraq- no Wmds, Vietnam- it was there own country and it didn't need the f u c k i n g US to invade, and kill millions, and not solve s h i t !

Who won the Vietnam War? = Depend who you ask the ? to. The North did if you asked vietnam govt. ppl. but I dont think it was a war. Because congress never declared was a war.
