Trân is a nice name for girls in Vietnam. If it is Trần, then it's a very popular last name. My friend has both for her first and last name. She usually puts the name "Tran Tran" on her test. (Sounds kind of cute :D)
In Vietnamese (tiếng Việt), Trân means nothing, but in Chinese-Vietnamese (Hán Việt), it means "quý" (valuable). Therefore, you can surely translate it into Chinese with the same meaning. But you should ask someone else cause I don't speak Chinese. A lot of people missunderstand that "Trân" means pearl. That's because the word "Trân" (valuable) and "Châu" (pearl) usually go together in Chinese-Vietnamese.
I don't think your name has anything that relates to "snake" '_'
The mark ^ above is not an accent mark. It is to change the way the letter "a" is pronounced. The "a" in Vietnamese is pronounced like /ɑ/ in English, but the "â" is pronounced like /ə/.
Hope that helped on you project :)
Oh by the way, let me guess, is your last name "Dang" (Äặng)?

Sexy Elf
