I recently returned from living in Ha Noi for 4 years. It is GREAT!!! I have lived in and visited numerous countries, and Ha Noi is one of my favorites, as is Viet Nam! The weather sucks - hot and humid, or hot and humid, or humid and hot, or cold and humid, but there a at least 8 or 9 really pleasant days during each year! ;^)
People are wonderful, the food is great. If you can find it, you can get essentially anything in Ha Noi - for a price, but often the price is much cheaper than the US or Europe.
The traffic is not so good. Pollution is fairly bad. But I am going back as soon as I can swing it!!!!! |
