My kind of place. We visit most every summer. So much beauty and the food is so good. Most everything is very reasonable and the people are very nice. I would recommend it for a trip any time.

i was in Vietnam last year for only a few days....most of the country has little infrastructure...some of the roads are not paved. there is very little individualism among people as it is discouraged (much like China in the 80s). it is very hot...polluted and FULL of motorcycles and mopeds. you can buy things very cheap including pirated movies and music. also, there are some amazing temples and cultural things through out the country. in general, the people seem to really like Americans.
