Why would you want to take a tour to Vn? You can go there by yourself. Search on yahoo search, google search or webcrawer search to find Vn Tours. After you get there you can do tours. Tonkin Travel is a good one and there are many more. Good Luck.

try Halong Bay in Hanoi

Get yourself a good tour guide/book. Check visa requirements. Check airfares - about $1000 from Los Angeles, CA roundtrip during the low season (winter - its cooler then).

Fly into Hanoi (its less frantic than Saigon), consider Sapa, see Halong Bay for sure. Work your way south. Consider Hue, see Hoian, Nha Trang, Dalat, Saigon and the Delta.
An "open tour" bus trip will cost you $30.00 from Hanoi to Saigon. Fly out of Saigon or head for Cambodia by water/land.

Tourist hotels $8 to $20 a night. Meals $2-$3

Do locally organized tours. The people are friendly and helpful.

Good Luck

over night train to sapa from hanoi visiting the hill tribes with a homestay with the locals , then trekking back to sapa. if you have a chinese visa you can cross at lao cai where the trains stops. a trip to bacha markets which are only on sundays is very interesting. overnight train back to hanoi then cruise halong bay on a junk boat.
