The radio stations here stink. We get two in Ben Tre, one fm and one am. Radios are really cheap over here. I bought a am/fm tape deck for about $8 usd. If you want to buy them something they would really like, get an mp3 player. Viets are like kids at Christmas when it comes to new electrical gagets lol.

Don't worry, There are various radio stations with different kind of channels. Some stations broadcast on AM, and some on FM (mostly music channels).
