What to do with 7 nights in Vietnam?? |
hello,
I'm planning a 4 week trip to the Far East in January (starting and finishing in Hong Kong).... is 7 nights enough to get a flavour of Vietnam?? Could anyone suggest an itinerary?
I'm planning to fly in and out of Ho Chi Minh City at the moment, but could do Hanoi instead.
I don't want to attempt to pack in too much...

I assume you have the days with the nights. I live in Ha Noi. A couple of days in Sapa (overnight train and 2 hour bus ride each way) would be time well spent - look Sapa up on Internet.
Ha Noi has lots to keep one busy - museums, old quarter, pottery village near by, Ha Long Bay is a day trip.
If you want warm weather and beaches, go further south. It could be "brisk" in the north in January. |

Saigon would be the best place to visit, they have good beaches, but not very good hotels.
I spent 13 months there in the late 60s, I think it has changed a lot. |
