the ONLY time to consider is when it is NOT the rainy season. I went in October and had great weather and cooler temperatures, but it was overcast in Hanoi, but NOT humid in HCMC. The best travel agent for travel in Vietnam or Cambodia is THREELAND Travel for local arrangements as well as Cambodia.
They do all their deals over the internet. Ask for Ms.Nguyen. They speak English and all contact was extremely professional! All went as planned. A driver, guide, tickets to multiple sites, airport pick up etc all came without any problems. We did visit their office to pick up additional tickets to Bat Trang. |

if you believe me you will not regret - the best time to enjoy is from november to february - cool and no rain - all travel agency are the same...or similar, not too different

get a lonely planet vietnam and it will fill you in on all the details u need. I went over in both may and november of this year. the weather is pretty much the same year round which is generally very hot except with unexpected monsoons. Low tourist season, may june for us was ideal as you can barter the prices for the hotels u stay at as they aren't so busy. april, may june, would be the best time...have a ball. |

i agree with the answers above.. i was in cambodia and thailand from june to august - its hot, rainy, and if you want to go to the beach, a lot of stuff isnt opened [unless you're on an island, of course] although there arent as many tourists, which is nice, i would reccomend going during the months in-between! |
