Noddle soup "Pho" and black coffee mix with condense milk and crush ice "cafe sua da". If you can smoke, smoke triple 5 "555" cigarette when you drink coffee. |

The Vietnamese have great food actually, Pho and chicken curry is awesome. But what really struck me about Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam is how friendly and kind the people were there. That is what I remember mostly. Very friendly people, with good morals, and very kind. I have Vietnamese friends here in the US from TSC which is a catholic organization and I can say the exact same things about them. Very sweet people. |

Women's aodai is so Vietnam - that's the first thing on my mind because Vietnam cuisine is not universal even "pho". |

I'm half vietnameese but was raised completely american (dont even speak the language). Its funny cause my mom was all about the "Im an ammerican girl now" thing when she moved here and didnt speak to me or cook vietnameese food. Since she is getting older now she is getting back to her roots and is always harrasing the old ladies at the Vien Dong (store) about how to cook something! I do think of values and respect, that is the one vietnameese thing my mom taught me! Unlike a lot of americans who run around cussing their parents, strangers, etc. |

A government which is NOT entirely for the people. A government which exploits its people, embezzles their money and oppresses those who stand up against them.
A race of intelligent, diligent and hospitable yet in the case of the homeland, lack of opportunity for many people. |

Today I think of my wife and her family. Before I met her the first thing I thought about was our (Americas) failures there. I still think about that obviously. History will not be kind to our Country regarding Viet Nam. |
