Ahhh, that will be so easy for you to find. For men, there is no national costume. They wear suits, ties, t-shirts and jeans. The women do as well. Women do have the "ao dai" which is their traditional form of dress. If you are a petite girl you can go to a shop where they do photographer and wear one for some pictures. If you are a big western girl, sorry, you're out of luck on them having one in your size.
Also, to collect an "ao dai" and take it home with you just visit a tailor shop. In the neighborhood where the bus drops you off walk around, find a tailor shop, go in and have them make you one. Bui Vien street has several. Make it the first thing you do when you get there, because 2 days doesn't leave them a lot of time to custom make you a dress, but they can do it.
They might have one in stock. It is not at all expensive to have something like that custom made.
All of my clothes are tailored, sometimes it costs less than purchased retail. |
