Probably best be a little more specific.. distinguishing quality tailoring from others is hard, best find an ex-pat looking type and ask them, as staff at hotels etc all have a friend / cousin etc they'll send you to if you ask for advice. Shopping for souvenirs - the best souvenirs don't come from tourist markets etc so hire yourself a moto & ride around until you find markets / shopping areas with no other tourists and find yourself something cool. If you mean drugs.. probably be incorrect to give advice re. procurement.. except steer well away from anything hard. With unpredicatble and entirely arbitrary law enforcement that'd be a fast way to dig yourself into a very deep hole.

Come by my book store. Randys book exchange. I can hook you up with just about anything. Great tailoring, the best restaurants, Lanterns, wood carvings. etc etc etc. Its a dream town to shop in. Easy to get "stuff" in Hoi An.

Does "stuff" mean goods, souvenir or specialty in Hoi an, Vietnam? If that's right, you can easily find it in Hoi An ancient town, there are a lot of shops offering, they are almost the same.
