Where is the cheapest but decent place to stay in Ho Chi Minh?
Check out tripadvisor.com . They have reviews of hundreds of Vietnam Hotels and a list of prices. Then you can pick out what is in your budget check where it is on the SaiGon map and away you go. Cheers C

You can just ask the taxi drivers because they know a bunch of hotels you can stay at. You can find a decent one for about 200k to 400k dong a night but a newer more americanized ones would run you a little bit more around 600k dong a night. I would give you names but I don't remember any of the ones I stayed at but they were all referred to us by our taxi drivers.

well actually , if u can hire a house in local region then it is fine , cheap and good or u can come to hotel , a small one is good also , about 170-180K VND/night

Theres lots of places but again Id suggest Mai Phai hotel its in the touristy area of Ho Chi Minh city. Its close or basically at the center of the city. People are friendly and speak english. Breakfest is included, its got an elevater, AC, Cable TV and your own bathroom. The rate when I went wich was like 2 years ago was around 14 dollars a night for a decent clean room.
