In Vietnam, the most preferred mobile provider is Mobifone. They provide the nationwide coverage, best quality of voice, good service and price.
Here is the website link for your reference,

About international calls, we now use internet phone card to make calls from PC to phone. This is the best way to save cost for international calls. You can talk 3 hours long for a phone card that costs about US$5,00 from Vietnam to the US. You can easily buy this phone card at any internet cafe in Vietnam. The most popular phone card we prefer is E-Voiz. Calling rate is really low. For one minute, it costs US$0.029 to fixed-line users and US$0.280 to mobile users in-the-go in UK; US$0.029 for both kinds of users in the US. Surprisingly, it provides very high quality of voice.

Go with an unlocked phone, ask the locals who is best and go with the flow.
In Malaysia I used Hotlink, and saved major $$$$.
This is the 'IN' way to keep in touch. If you travel out of the country (Vietnam) you can either roam, or just pull out the SIM card, and drop one a new one in and use their cheap rate. Then when you return, put the old one back in. |
