preschool-12 grade go to school for 5 hours a day 6 days a week. Same school period (September-June). Children must passed all subject to go to the next grade. Most teachers in Vietnam are very rich because the parents bride them so they can teach their children better than the one who doesn't. Children who go to summer school are more likely to passed the next grade because the summer school teacher will tell the school period teacher that they went to summer school. There is a fee for every school period. One teacher teaches every subject, if the student don't do hw or participate in class they get disciplined, usually with a ruler smack on the hand. |

Six ours. In America we have eight hours, because we serve lunch in our public schools. In Vietnam they have lunch together with their family after they come home from school. They usually eat rice or noodles. My sister lives in Vietnam, and she tells me how she spent the day at school. |
