15 Hotels in the UK to Receive World Travel Awards in 2011

15 hotels in the UK were among nearly 200 properties that were awarded the World Travel Awards in 2011. The festivities took place in Turkey, Antalya at "Cornelia Diamond Golf Resort & Spa " and prizes were awarded after the votes of over 180,000 professionals in the hotel industry in 160 countries.

Along with individual awards obtained by of London hotels, the capital of the United Kingdom won the title of "Best European tourist destination", and InterContinental Hotels & Resorts hotel chain was chosen as the best in Europe. Among the winners in UK, there were the following:

  • Dukes Hotel - The best boutique hotel in Europe
  • Jumeriah Carlton Tower - Best 'business' in Europe
  • InterContinental Park Lane - The best hotel in England for conferences
  • The Lanesborough - Best of London
  • England Draycott Hotel - The best boutique hotel in England Sofitel
  • London Heathrow - The best airport hotel

All European winners will attend the world final, which will take place on November 29 in Qatar.
